BAD News!

So . . .
Today I went for a facial.
I was talking to my esthetician about my acne situation and she gave me some serious bad news. She told me to stop using chap stick! Thats right, she said that the pores around my mouth are most likely being clogged by the crap they put in chap stick! This is terrible news for a chap-stickaholic like myself.
She told me if I MUST wear chap stick (and I MUST) then I should look for something organic and petroleum free. So I went to the drug store and purchased the famous eos lip balm. Why have I not tried this already? It's a must have! The eos website says that "eos lip balm is 95% organic, 100% natural, and paraben and petrolatum free. Packed with antioxidant-rich vitamin E, soothing shea butter and jojoba oil, eos keeps your lips moist, soft and sensationally smooth." And that it does! SO glad I finally discovered this super fun lip balm. Here’s hoping for less breakouts!

OPI Mad as a Hatter!

So . . .

Right now I am LOVING OPI Mad as a Hatter!!!
It recently came out, along with 3 other shades, in the Alice in Wonderland
collection by OPI.

(Please excuse my short stumpy fingers and nails!)

Yes, this disco ball polish is reminiscent of my favorite 6th grade, chunky glitter polish from Claire's . . . but it is so super fun I just couldn't resist!

The other three polishes in this collection are . . .

Absolutely Alice - A blue and gold glittery polish
Off With Her Red - A warm creamy red polish
Thanks so Muchness - A cool creamy red polish

I have so many red polishes, I just couldn't justify getting another . . . And while the blue one is sooo pretty, I can't pull off blue nails!

But I'm super happy to add Mad as a Hatter to my OPI collection!

MAC In Lillyland

Soo . . . I'm not so much a fan of creme blushes on my acne-prone skin and Lipgellees are not not my favorites either, but I HAD to pick up these two items from the MAC In Lillyland collection!
I just LOVE the designs of the Pearlmatte Eyeshadow trio and the Pearlmatte Face Powder!
I was SERIOUSLY disappointed in the shadow, however, the face power ROCKS!

It is almost not worth posting swatches because these shadows are soooo super sheer!

They might be nice in the spring for a super light wash of color . . . who knows!
It was worth getting for my collection, I just couldn't resist the design!

The face powder, on the other hand, has really nice color payoff . . .

MUUUUCH better than the shadows!
The colors can be used alone or swirled together for a nice bronze color!

Overall . . . I am thrilled to add these to my collection!

MAC Warm and Cozy

Sooo . . .

I grabbed a few things from MAC's Warm and Cozy collection, mostly because I'm a sucker for neutrals!
I was much more exited about this collection than Love Lace but I used restraint and only got a few things from the collection . . .

I picked up 3 shadows: Modelette, Chamomile and Mulled Cider . . .

I also grabbed a Tinted Lipglass in 2N . . .

And last but not least, By Candlelight Mineralize Skinfinish . . .

I honestly can't say a bad thing about any of these products!
Out of the 3 shadows, I like Modelette the best. It has a smooth texture and a good color payoff.
I love 2N Lipglass! It is a great creamy, peachy-nude!
My favorite product out of this collection though, has to be By Candlelight MSF.
It is perfect for a highlight color and has no chunky glitter or fallout.

Overall I am very happy with my purchase!
Oh how I love neutrals!!!

MAC Love Lace

So . . .
There were only 2 things that caught my eye in MAC's Love Lace collection.
Hypnotizing Eye Shadow and Sense of Style Kohl Power Eye Pencil

Hypnotizing reminds me a lot of Style Snob which has become one of my favorites so I had to grab it up! It is a "frosted greyed mauve" and it goes on really smooth.

MAC describes Sense of Style as a "blackened deep marine blue."
I think it is more on the blackish green side.

Overall I was not "lovin' lace" but I am happy with the 2 products I picked up!

I think I am am going to post pictures by collection.

Lip Balm Addiction

Hi.
My name is Missy Ann, and I am addicted to lip balm.

So . . . I am obsessed with lip balm, but who isn't, right?
I have probably used just about every type of lip balm on the market at least once, but there are 3 that I am really loving right now.

At $13.50, this little sucker is quite expensive for a lip balm.
To be honest, if I didn't have my Pro discount or I couldn't get it at a CCO, I probably would not purchase it.
I do love it though!
It has SPF 15, which is nice because my lips burn really easily.
The creamy formula is great, it does not feel waxy on my lips like so many other lip balms do.
I like to wear it under my lipsticks to lock in moisture.

Second, is Softlips!

I have been using Softlips since high school!
I think that is part of the reason I like it so much . . .
It was my first lip balm love, the one I'm comfortable with, the one I always go back to.
Softlips has SPF 20, which is great!
The downside is that they are so small . . .
I go through these like crazy, but at $3.50 for a two pack, I can deal!

I haven't been using this one very long . . .
I picked it up after reading such great reviews on it.
I must say, I love it!
It only has SPF 4, so I like to keep this one on my nightstand!
A Kiss of Moisture contains Shea Butter and Jajoba Oil, which help to provide long lasting moisture!
I usually put this on before bed and my lips don't feel dry the next morning.

So tell me . . .
What are the balms you can't live without?
I am always looking for new favorites!

Much Love!
